Menopause is the time in a woman’s life, which puts before her a number of challenges related with ailments or diseases, which are the consequence of hormonal disorders resulting from a complex, long-term process of aging. The quality of life of women struggling with menopause is currently the subject of many studies, therefore placing emphasis on getting higher qualifications and knowledge of staff involved in this period in a woman’s life has become a challenge now. The aim of this study was to determine the essence of the most important problems affecting women during menopause. Currently, it is estimated their number at about 50 million in the world, in Poland about 7 million. As the method adopted the analysis of available professional literature.
