In family medicine and gynecology, and nursing too several issues related to psychosexual development requires an interdisciplinary approach. In this respect, the problems conected with congenital malformations of the genital tract and management of autosexual behaviors entails teamwork of family doctors, a pediatrician, a pediatric gynecologist , a nurs and a sexologist. Congenital malformations of the female genital organs result from abnormalities in the embryogenesis of the fallopian tubes, uterus and vagina. These malformations are caused by teratogenic action at about 8-10 weeks of embriogenesis. The extent of the defects depends on the type of teratogens, the timing of teratogenic action and the stage of pregnancy. Patients with congenital malformations of genital organs should be too treated by interdisciplinary teams of psychologists and medical doctors, with family doctors and nurs playing a significant role in the treatment process.
