We may often find it in many drinks such as "cola", energy
drinks, coffee, tea, chocolate. It is very difficult to estimate the
total day consumption of the caffeine, as it is hidden in many
drinks and food.
Pregnant women andfetuses aremoresubjected to the negativeeffectsof
the caffeine, because of theextendedduration
ofhigh concentrationsof this substancein their body.Future
mothersshould not consume more than 300 mg of caffeinea
day.It isclarified in the research whethercaffeine caninterferewith
pregnancy, shorten its durationan dresult infetal defects.
The analysis of available scientific literature on the effects of
caffeine during pregnancy have been made to determine the
relationship between caffeine intake and the difficulties of
pregnancy, its risks and the impact on the health of the daily
dose of caffeine.The studies have confirmedthe negativeeffects
of caffeineon pregnancy andnewbornhealth. Embryotoxicity of
caffeineduring pregnancy was provenat a dose ofmore
than300mg a day. Also relationshipbetween the consumption
ofcaffeine and the difficultiesofbecomingpregnant has been
found.
